It is a shame that Phil Boas turns the present political debacle into an "Us v Them" debate. His argument, "If you don't like Trump, look how terrible the Democrats are" ignores the real issue -- i.e., Trump against the Constitutional norms and customs of the United States. Why don't centrist Republicans and Democrats join together to oppose the financial chaos brought about by tariffs, the social upheaval of tearing apart the Civil Service in the name of supposed efficiency, the repeated attacks on the judiciary, the attacks on our universities, on the healthcare system, on medical research, on the press, on overseas aid? Rather than Make America Great Again, Trump has made our country ridiculed as never before. The rallying cry of democracy has now changed to a cry of "Me first, take it or leave it. We will destroy you if you oppose us." Sycophancy, back scratching, illegality, have become norms. He is unleashing the four horsemen of the Apocalypse along with the Seven deadly sins as he sets about creating a new America in his own image. A small minded man, devoid of compassion and good sense forces us to decide between Fascism or Democracy, not Republican or Democrat.
