I vowed not to write about Phil Boas and let him stew in his own rhetorical juices, but when he continues on his merry road of attempting to explain or justify or rationalize the horrors perpetrated by the present administration and when no attempt is made by the newspaper to offer the slenderest of replies so that a reader might get at least to choose alternative viewpoints, I feel compelled to grab my pen. I remind myself that Boas' editorials and language follow a pattern. According to his political philosophy Republicans are the only rightful rulers of America... Democrats are left wing, woke, not very well disguised Marxist intellectuals bent on the destruction of American society whose only existence arises from the mistaken policies and views of a few errant Republicans. Trump's "craziness" which can mean anything from raving mad to a bit silly is a Republican gift to Democrats because they have no other function. This is false. Democrats believe we all have a stake in our society, that America thrives when the needs of all Americans are paid attention to and not just the rich. Democrats call this democracy. Not sure what Republicans believe in except profit.
